Nena began division service in 1990 as a historical interpreter at Island Field, a Native American burial site, where she shared archaeological and Native cultural information. She has worked as a historical interpreter at several of the division’s museums and is certified by the National Association for Interpreters as a certified interpretive guide. In 2010, she was named site supervisor for the division’s downtown Dover sites. Originally from Kansas and a member of the Western Plains Tribes, she now lives in Dover.
